Publiskā debate “Brīvības ielas brīvības komplekts!”
24. aprīlī plkst. 17.30 Rīgas Centrālajā bibliotēkā (Brīvības ielā 49/52, 2.stāvā) notiks interaktīva saruna par Brīvības ielu, tās šī brīža stāvokli un nākotnes iespējām. Sarunas mērķis ir pievērst plašākas publikas uzmanību Brīvības ielas reģenerācijas nepieciešamībai, uzsvērt tās simboliskās un fiziskās ass nozīmi pilsētā.
Pasākuma iniciatori ir „Radi Rīgu!” kuratoru komanda, kura pirms pāris mēnešiem RCB filiālbibliotēkā „Vidzeme” Brīvības gatvē 206 atklāja pasākumu ciklu „BIBLIOTĒKAS SARUNAS”, uzsverot bibliotēku kā zināšanu platformu par pilsētvidi apkaimēs. „BIBLIOTĒKAS SARUNU” vadmotīvi ir kultūra, publiskā ārtelpa un sociālā atdzimšana.
Līdzīgas darbības paralēles meklējamas arī Rīgas Centrālās bibliotēkas aktivitātēs, kurās šogad vērojama tendence pievērsties padziļinātai Brīvības ielas izpētei. Februārī bibliotēkā notika pasākums „Brīvības ielas garumā”, kurā populārā televīzijas raidījuma „Ielas garumā” vadītāja Lilita Eglīte stāstīja par saviem iespaidiem, kas radušies filmējot raidījumus par Brīvības ielu. Pateicoties tam, ka Rīgas Centrālā bibliotēka kopš šī gada ir UNESCO LNK tīkla „STĀSTU BIBLIOTĒKAS” pilntiesīgs dalībnieks, visa gada garumā plānoti pasākumi, kuros liela uzmanība tiks pievērsta tieši stāstiem par Brīvības ielu un tās apkaimi.
Gaidāmais pasākums paredz darbību divās daļās. Pirmajā daļā notiks debates par Brīvības ielas nozīmīgumu, izaicinājumiem, konfliktiem, cerībām un iespējām nākotnē. Uzaicināto viesu rosinātajās diskusijās tiks sniegta informācija par galvenajām idejām un izskatīti Brīvības ielai svarīgākie jautājumi, tādējādi sagatavojot auditoriju otrajai pasākuma daļai – interaktīvajai darbnīcai. Otrās daļas ietvaros visi klātesošie tiks aicināti strādāt grupās kopā ar viesiem, radot idejas par Brīvības ielas pieejamību dažādām sabiedrības grupām, ideju praktisku realizēšanu, potenciāliem darītājiem un turpmākās darbības programmu.
Gaidīsim Brīvības ielas un tās apkaimes iedzīvotājus, kā arī visus interesentus izveidot kopā Brīvības ielas brīvības komplektu!
